2024.02.23 CH Biotech joins the International Society for Horticultural Science and becomes the first corporate member, which is conducive to the development of the European horticulture industry

Europe is the leader in the international horticulture market, and high value-added horticultural products including flowers are exported from Europe. CH Biotech R&D Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CH Biotech,” stock code: 6534), which focuses on the development of new agricultural biotech products, new fertilizers and plant growth regulators, was invited to join the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), becoming the first in the world to Members who have joined as a company. In the future, they hope to use this platform to communicate with horticulture and agricultural product manufacturers from various European countries, and obtain the latest information on international horticulture products, hoping to become the starting point for the development of the European horticulture market.

 

In recent years, exchanges between Taiwan and Europe have become increasingly frequent. Nine executive directors of the ISHS in Europe were invited by the Taiwan Society for Horticultural Science (TSHS) to come to Taiwan to participate in the “2024 Global Horticulture Industry Sustainable Development Trends Exchange Conference” held today (23). In addition to on the theme of the conference “Forum of Sustainable Horticulture: from ESG to SDG”, in addition to communicating with members of the TSHS and the Taiwan Seed Society, it also set a precedent of inviting CH Biotech to join the ISHS.

 

CH Biotech is one of the few new agricultural biotech products companies in Taiwan’s. The R&D team is composed of outstanding talents with Ph.D.’s and master’s degrees who specialize in biology, agronomy, chemistry and other fields. Since its establishment, CH Biotech has continued to launch high-efficiency, precise and low-carbon plant growth regulator and fertilizer product lines have substantial benefits and contributions to agriculture. After becoming a member of TSHS, it has become one of the important resources for Taiwan’s horticultural community and international exchanges. This time, the ISHS’s board members came to Taiwan to recruit corporate members. The TSHS officially recommended CH Biotech to join the association, hoping to introduce CH Biotech’s research and development results to European countries.

 

The TSHS pointed out that the ISHS was established in 1959 and is one of the most important horticultural groups in the world. It has a history of more than 60 years and is an important organization in Europe that promotes horticultural scientific research and education. Through seminars, horticultural conferences, and other activities to promote global horticultural cooperation and technology transfer. The Ministry of Agriculture attaches great importance to this exchange platform. During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed to establish an academic and technical exchange and cooperation platform between Taiwan and Europe in the field of horticulture.

 

Chen-Pang Wu, chairman of CH Biotech, said that he was honored to be a member of the ISHS. In the past, CH Biotech’s main customers came from the North American market, and most of its applications were soybeans, wheat, corn and other large-area agricultural products. Its sustainable new agricultural biotech products “Radiate NEXT” has been successfully authorized to Loveland Product Inc. (LPI), a subsidiary of Nutrien Group, the world’s largest distributor of agricultural products, and has become the main series of products promoted by the group, establishing the foundation of the North American market. However, the CH Biotech product line can not only be used for products of various high value-added crops such as coffee and fruits, but can also be used in the horticultural field, such as the cultivation of various flowers, gardening and other plants. By joining the Taiwan and European Horticultural Societies, it will help exchange the latest market information with leading players in the international horticulture field and cooperate to promote the development of sustainable horticulture.

 

As countries around the world continue to promote ESG, the demand for permaculture products that can save water, resist drought, and increase soil fertility will continue to grow. CH Biotech will continue to develop related products, expand the company’s niche, and demonstrate product performance through authorized sales, joining horticultural societies and actively participating in various types of seminars to gain a deeper understanding of market demand and help improve the climate resilience, yield and quality of various crops.
